Thank you for these posts. I enjoyed them. Im a former Quad-Citian who lived on Grand Court, Davenport. I have a question: my great grandfather lived in Davenport and left with 600 other guys to a Camp Pike in Arkansas on July 25, 1918. How can I find out if his unit ever made it to France and whether he served at the front? The war ended about 110 days after he got to training camp. Was that time enough to be deployed?
