
{"id":608,"date":"2009-03-23T10:10:20","date_gmt":"2009-03-23T15:10:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs2.davenportlibrary.com\/sc\/?p=608"},"modified":"2014-01-15T15:49:19","modified_gmt":"2014-01-15T21:49:19","slug":"now-available-two-new-online-indexes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.davenportlibrary.com\/sc\/2009\/03\/23\/now-available-two-new-online-indexes\/","title":{"rendered":"Now Available:  Two New Online Indexes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are pround to announce that\u00a0our searchable <a href=\"http:\/\/www.qcmemory.org\/Page\/Local_Index_Databases.aspx?nt=203\" target=\"_blank\">Local\u00a0Index Databases\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0have increased by two!<\/p>\n<p>The anticipated index for the \u00a0Civil War Enlistment Papers is now up and running.\u00a0 As you <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.davenportlibrary.com\/sc\/?p=377\" target=\"_blank\">may recall<\/a>, these papers are for the men who volunteered for the Union Army\u00a0in Iowa after June of 1862.\u00a0 We are regularaly adding more soldiers to this database, so please check frequently!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Also, we have added the Mortality Schedules for the 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880 Federal Census.\u00a0 These schedules list the\u00a0people who died in the twelve months prior to each\u00a0census being taken in June.\u00a0 Depending on the year, these schedules provide a variety of information, including the cause of death.\u00a0 \u00a0This index is also being updated on a weekly basis.<\/p>\n<p>So please take the time to explore our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.qcmemory.org\/Page\/Local_Index_Databases.aspx?nt=203\" target=\"_blank\">Local Index Databases<\/a> this spring\u2014and watch your family tree flower!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are pround to announce that\u00a0our searchable Local\u00a0Index Databases\u00a0\u00a0have increased by two!
