Lisa Lillien.\u00a0 Her books <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/search.prairiecat.info\/?itemid=|library\/marc\/PALS-unicorn|2048797\" target=\"_blank\">Hungry Girl:\u00a0 Recipes and Survival Strategies for Guilt-Free Eating in the Real World<\/a><\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/search.prairiecat.info\/?itemid=|library\/marc\/PALS-unicorn|2124785\" target=\"_blank\">Hungry Girl 200 Under 200:\u00a0 200 Recipes Under\u00a0200\u00a0Calories<\/a><\/em><\/strong> contain recipes for the foods we already love, but made in a more healthy way.\u00a0 They&#8217;re also pretty easy to make; Hungry Girl&#8217;s recipes don&#8217;t contain a ton of ingredients or steps, so they&#8217;re not too difficult for someone like me whose preferred cooking steps are 1) Preheat oven 2) Insert frozen pizza.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve tried out a few of her recipes so far, including the Krispymallow Treats and\u00a0the Cheesy Chicken Quesadilla, and they were great!\u00a0 I even made\u00a0her recipe for a cupcake baked inside an ice cream cone\u00a0for my family and they didn&#8217;t realize it was a &#8220;diet recipe&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/search.prairiecat.info\/?itemid=|library\/marc\/PALS-unicorn|2124785\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-8894\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.davenportlibrary.com\/reference\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/hungrygirl2.jpg?resize=241%2C300&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"241\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.davenportlibrary.com\/reference\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/hungrygirl2.jpg?resize=241%2C300&amp;ssl=1 241w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.davenportlibrary.com\/reference\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/hungrygirl2.jpg?w=402&amp;ssl=1 402w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 241px) 100vw, 241px\" \/><\/a>The Hungry Girl books contain more than just recipes.\u00a0 Lilien has also made lists of\u00a0products to use to make your cooking lighter and a series of &#8220;Survival Guides&#8221; for how to eat out at restaurants without gaining 10 pounds per meal.\u00a0 Now that I&#8217;ve tried a few recipes and trust Hungry Girl&#8217;s directions, I might even try some of her more ambitious recipes, like the Kickin&#8217;
