Of course, books groups and sharing favorite titles has been around almost as long as the printed word, but thanks to Oprah there&#8217;s been a huge ressurgance in their popularity the past few years. The Women&#8217;s National Book Association celebrates book groups during the month of October, promoting the sharing of great books with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalreadinggroupmonth.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>National Reading Club Month<\/strong> <\/a>program.<\/p>\n<p>Be sure to check out their 2010 selection of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalreadinggroupmonth.org\/ggr_selections.html\" target=\"_blank\">Great Group Reads<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; even if you don&#8217;t belong to a book group, lists like this can often point you toward that next great book. Book club books are usually timely, well-written, thoughtful and provocative, all of which add up to a great read.
