According to a NPR report, &#8220;Hoovermania in Belgium,&#8221; he organized feeding &#8220;more than nine million people every day for four long years\u00a0. &#8221; He was\u00a0an\u00a0&#8220;international symbol of American generosity and practical idealism. &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The<strong><em> <a href=\"http:\/\/hoover.archives.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">Herbert<\/a><\/em><\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/hoover.archives.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\"> <strong><em>Hoover Presidential Library and Museum<\/em><\/strong><\/a> displays give you insight into the depths of gratitude felt by Belgians during and after World War 1.
