{"id":5639,"date":"2010-02-02T06:00:41","date_gmt":"2010-02-02T12:00:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs2.davenportlibrary.com\/reference\/?p=5639"},"modified":"2010-01-27T13:03:44","modified_gmt":"2010-01-27T19:03:44","slug":"food-rules","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.davenportlibrary.com\/reference\/food-rules\/","title":{"rendered":"Food Rules!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/search.prairiecat.info\/?itemid=|library\/marc\/PALS-unicorn|2237729\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5640 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.davenportlibrary.com\/reference\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/food-rules.jpg?resize=131%2C131&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"131\" height=\"131\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Michael Pollan, the popular author of the<strong><em> <a href=\"http:\/\/search.prairiecat.info\/?itemid=|library\/marc\/PALS-unicorn|2005019\" target=\"_blank\">Omnivore&#8217;s Dilemma<\/a><\/em><\/strong> and <a href=\"http:\/\/search.prairiecat.info\/?itemid=|library\/marc\/PALS-unicorn|2010871\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>In Defense of Food<\/em><\/strong>,<\/a> has another book out which may prove even more popular.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/search.prairiecat.info\/?itemid=|library\/marc\/PALS-unicorn|2237729\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>Food Rules: An Eater&#8217;s Manual<\/em><\/strong><\/a> is a short, easy read &#8212;\u00a0some pages have just one sentence in large print and there&#8217;s lot of white space.\u00a0 And if that&#8217;s not easy\u00a0enough, he&#8217;s further simplified his 64 rules into 3 main parts which anyone\u00a0can remember.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Part I &#8211; What should I eat?\u00a0 (Eat food).<\/li>\n<li>Part II &#8211; What <em>kind<\/em> of food should I eat?\u00a0 (Mostly plants.)<\/li>\n<li>Part III &#8211; How should I eat?
