Oppenheimer. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boxofficemojo.com\/title\/tt15398776\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Box Office Mojo<\/a>, <em>Oppenheimer <\/em>has grossed over 300 million dollars in domestic movie sales and nearly 800 million dollars in movie sales worldwide. The film stars <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0614165\/?ref_=tt_cl_i_1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cillian Murphy<\/a> as Robert J. Oppenheimer (1904-1967), an American theoretical physicist who was the director of the Los Alamos Laboratory during the Manhattan Project. The Los Alamos Laboratory was responsible for the design of the atomic bomb, and Oppenheimer is often referred to as the \u201cfather of the atomic bomb.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Directed by Christopher Nolan, best known for science fiction films <a href=\"https:\/\/davenportlibrary-bett.na2.iiivega.com\/search\/card?id=94e59c11-854b-5f7f-a35e-e44c796d9dd6&amp;entityType=FormatGroup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Inception<\/em><\/a> (2010), <a href=\"https:\/\/davenportlibrary-bett.na2.iiivega.com\/search\/card?id=3578bfc9-2023-5ce9-896f-4d68a7e7eb3d&amp;entityType=FormatGroup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Interstellar<\/em><\/a> (2014), and <a href=\"https:\/\/davenportlibrary-bett.na2.iiivega.com\/search\/card?id=42271e7b-73e9-5689-9e71-84e899e9804d&amp;entityType=FormatGroup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Tenet<\/em><\/a> (2020), the film is mostly told through the perspective of Robert J. Oppenheimer, beginning in 1926 when he is a doctorate student at Cambridge University. Weaved into the story are scenes in black and white that tell the point of view of Lewis Strauss, a powerful figure in developing nuclear weapons after World Ward II, whose actions sabotaged Oppenheimer\u2019s career.
