Independence Day is coming and we have materials to help you celebrate!<\/p>\n

If you haven’t already read James Patterson’s book, 4th of July<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, this is the perfect time to do so.\u00a0 For those of you already familiar with Patterson’s story lines or\u00a0characters,\u00a0this is part of his Women’s Murder Club series and\u00a0features\u00a0San Francisco\u00a0police lieutenant Lindsay Boxer.\u00a0 (Perhaps you’ve\u00a0even\u00a0caught some\u00a0 of the TV crime\u00a0shows with Boxer as the main character, as played by Angie Harmon.)<\/p>\n

Another appropriate title is\u00a0Red, White & Blue Murder<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by Bill Crider.\u00a0 \u00a0This is the thirteenth novel in the Sheriff Dan Rhodes mystery series, in which Rhodes is presented as a likeable Texan lawman.\u00a0 His character is\u00a0wry and warmhearted, in a humorous,\u00a0 down-home and folksy way.<\/p>\n

If you’re looking for something a little more serious, try Red, White , and Muslim: My Story of Belief<\/em><\/strong> <\/a>by Asma Gull Hasan.\u00a0 Described on the back cover as\u00a0“a warm, witty, wonderful story about what it means to be both Muslim and American in a post 9\/11 world,\u00a0”\u00a0this should be an enlightening and educational read for those of us less familiar with the Muslim faith.<\/p>\n
