Either by writing or recording interviews?<\/p>\n<p>For one thing, it&#8217;s therapeutic to write creatively and to analyze your own feelings and worries. For another, it&#8217;s important to document history while it&#8217;s happening.<\/p>\n<p>In an article by Anna Momigliano in the<strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/04\/09\/books\/italy-coronavirus-paolo-giordano-roberto-burioni.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> New York Times<\/a><\/em>,<\/strong> she describes the impetus of writers in Italy to write and publish right now:<\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Much like Sigmund Freud wrote down his dreams when he woke, before they faded,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0[author]\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Giordano<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> sought to document, in real time, his experience of the pandemic. \u201cOnce the emergency is over, any temporary awareness will also disappear,\u201d he writes. \u201cI don\u2019t want to lose what the epidemic is revealing about ourselves.\u201d Doctors, novelists and other writers are exploring, as quickly as they can, the pandemic\u2019s impact.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first phase is a writing project, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/davenportlibrary.libcal.com\/event\/6645965\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>QC Life in the New Normal<\/em><\/a><\/strong>. Some writing prompts are:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What have I learned about myself and others in the last few weeks. How have I changed?\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What am I grateful for? What keeps me going? What does \u201ccoping\u201d mean?\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How has my work life changed? What is the impact on my home life? How has the arc of change on my daily life affected my decision making? What <em>is<\/em> my decision-making process?\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Who have I come to admire, and why? (locally, nationally, world-wide)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second part we&#8217;ve launched is <em>QC Life in the Covid-19 Era Oral History Project<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of the &#8220;In Your Own Words&#8221; oral history project, you can record an interview using free video conferencing software (video, or just audio).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sample questions could include:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Describe how you keep active? (exercise or fitness routines) \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How do you plan your day?\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How have you changed the way you relax? (reading, streaming, tv, technology, games, or hobbies)\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How have your school, work life, or medical appointments changed?
