The poems can each stand on their own but as an inter-woven tapestry are reminding the reader of the brutality of borders, walls, occupied lands and conflict.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0one of her poems from the collection:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLosing as Its Own Flower,\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">\u201cTruth unfolds in the gardens,<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">massive cabbages, succulent tomatoes,<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">orange petals billowing,<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">even when the drought is long. . . .<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">In a way, we did lose.
