When it is announced that the prince will be choosing the next princess from among the girls of Mount Eskel, Miri believes that this is her chance to prove her worth to her father and her community.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/rivershare.polarislibrary.com\/search\/searchresults.aspx?ctx=14.1033.0.0.3&amp;type=Keyword&amp;term=princess%20academy%20shannon%20hale&amp;by=KW&amp;sort=RELEVANCE&amp;limit=TOM=*&amp;query=&amp;page=0\" target=\"_blank\"><em><strong>Princess Academy<\/strong><\/em><\/a> by Shannon Hale is a gem of a book. One of the biggest criticisms of middle grade fiction is that authors often tell, rather than show.
