illustrator who loves food. \u00a0Raised by foodies before they would have been called foodies, Knisley writes and draws about her life through the lens of the meals that she ate. \u00a0Foie Gras, Kraft Mac and Cheese, apricot jam filled croissants, sushi, fresh tamales, and cherry tomatoes right off the vine all bring back significant memories in Knisley&#8217;s life and pepper\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rivershare.polarislibrary.com\/search\/searchresults.aspx?ctx=16.1033.0.0.3&amp;type=Keyword&amp;term=relish%20:%20my%20life%20in%20the%20kitchen&amp;by=KW&amp;sort=RELEVANCE&amp;limit=TOM=*&amp;query=&amp;page=0&amp;pos=1#__pos-1\" target=\"_blank\"><em><strong>Relish: My Life in the<\/strong><strong> Kitchen<\/strong><\/em><\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>with funny stories and delicious recollections.<\/p>\n<p>I had read Knisley&#8217;s previous foray into food themed graphic novel memoirs\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rivershare.polarislibrary.com\/search\/searchresults.aspx?ctx=15.1033.0.0.3&amp;type=Default&amp;term=french%20milk&amp;by=KW&amp;sort=RELEVANCE&amp;limit=TOM=*&amp;query=&amp;page=0\" target=\"_blank\"><em><strong>French<\/strong><strong> Milk<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, about her trip to Paris with her mother following her graduation from college, and I wasn&#8217;t particularly impressed. \u00a0But after reading positive reviews of\u00a0<strong><em>Relish<\/em><\/strong>, I decided to give Knisley another chance. \u00a0I am so glad that I did. \u00a0She seems to have found her voice (and a better editor) for this book, and has included delightful illustrated recipes at the end of each chapter. \u00a0It left me wishing that she would write a full graphic novel cookbook. \u00a0Each of these recipes calls back to a specific memory in Knisley&#8217;s life, from childhood to the present, shaping the person she has become. \u00a0Knisley&#8217;s passion is infectious, and
