Here are some new books\u00a0that should tie-in well with Mother’s Day.\u00a0 After reading the reviews, I know I’m looking forward to reading both of these titles.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>In Daughters-in-Law<\/a>, <\/strong><\/em>author\u00a0Joanna Trollope\u00a0explores how Rachel’s\u00a0life has changed since her three sons have grown up\u00a0and married.\u00a0 Once accustomed to being the center of her family, she\u00a0now finds her position as matriarch\u00a0slipping away.\u00a0 She also realizes\u00a0that other women — the daughters-in-law — are now the main focus in her children’s lives and it’s a bit disconcerting.\u00a0 Will she be able to\u00a0find a way to still preserve the relationships she’s held dear for so long?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Please Look After Mom<\/a> <\/strong><\/em>by Kyung-Sook Shin received a starred review in Library Journal, which declared that it “should be one of this year’s most deserving bestsellers.”\u00a0 Basically, the story concerns a family’s search for their mother, who has gone missing\u00a0in a crowded Seoul subway station.\u00a0 In probable fashion, the children argue over how best to find her, while her husband returns to their country home in hopes she’ll return there.\u00a0 Meanwhile, each recalls their own memories of her and wonder if they have lived up to her expectations.\u00a0 The book concludes with Mom’s own version of\u00a0the story, and the reader learns what really happened that day.\u00a0 Sound intriguing?\u00a0 Check it out and have a Happy Mother’s Day!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
