National Game and Puzzle Week November 20th – 26th
We are hosting a Game and Puzzle Swap! Here’s how it works. Drop off a game or puzzle at any of the Davenport Public Library locations from November 1 – November 14th. For each game or puzzle that you donate, you’ll receive a ticket. Come back to the Davenport library Eastern branch on Saturday, November 16th between 3-5p with your ticket and you will get to pick out a new-to-you game or puzzle. It’s that easy! Questions? Visit this link to learn more!
DINOVEMBER!
Dinosaurs are taking over the LIBRARY!!! It’s DINOVEMBER and dinosaurs are taking over the Libraries! It is that time again for the beloved program where dino toys and stuffies will spend a couple of weeks hanging out with Library staff as we process books, answer phones, lead storytimes, and more! Dinos will even write postcards to their loved ones letting them know about all the fun stuff they are doing (and how many books they have devoured). To learn more about this program, visit this link!
Did you miss the deadline or don’t have a dino to contribute? No worries, follow the fun on our social media!
Business Program
Brittany and Stephanie sat down with Rachel, an Information Services Librarian to discuss the Library Business Assistance service that was rolled out in 2024. The Library Business Assistance program connects people with local and regional economic development agencies to learn new skills and create a business network; provides business resources to help people start a business or expand an existing business; and partners with regional economic development agencies to help them fulfill their missions.
