Tuesday, January 3 through Saturday, March 3.

At all three Davenport Public Library locations and via the WRP blog: http//blogs.davenportlibrary.com/wrp

How Can People Participate?
Through submitting one or more ballots, attending a program, writing a blog post, and/or submitting a video.

How You Can Enter
*  You can enter by filling out a ballot every time you read a book or check out library materials.
*  You can enter by filling out a ballot when you attend ANY library program.
*  If you submit a comment on any of the library’s blogs you will automatically be entered twice.
*  If you submit a video you will automatically be entered 10 times.

The Ballots
We have separate ballots for each age group: children, teens, and adults.  Simply use the ballot for your age. 
Ballots can be picked up at Customer Service desks and at the self-check units. 
You may turn in as many ballots as you want.
You may turn in your ballot at any of our polling boxes.

The Videos
Patrons of any age can submit videos about their favorite books, music, movies, and what they like about the library.
After you have created a video and posted it online through YouTube, Vimeo, or another host, send us an e-mail through the Red, White, & Read blog:  http://blogs.davenportlibrary.com/wrp.  You will be sent 10 ballots for your video, and if we choose to post it on our website or other social networks, we will send you a consent form to sign.
Submission of videos does not guarantee that they will be posted or used by DPL.

The Prizes
1 name will be drawn from the ballots submitted in each age group.  Each winner will receive an e-reader.
1 name will be drawn among patrons who submitted videos and the person drawn  will receive a $25.00 gift card.

The Election
Results from submitted ballots will be tallied frequently, and results will be posted on the WRP blog.  
We will have ever-changing tallies of favorites based on  patron ballots.
Check the blog often to see who/what is ahead in the polls.
