T4T requiting! Who would you give $5,000 to?

Check out this super neato opportunity we found on the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend website:

Teens for Tomorrow (T4T), an initiative of the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend, is accepting member applications for the 2010-2011 school year. Applications are available to download at www.cfgrb.org.

Part of a nationwide trend, T4T unites and empowers Quad City area youth to lead and support change in the community through philanthropy. T4T meetings are held once a month from September – May at local nonprofits. Throughout the year, the students learn about the grant making process, identify community needs and address emerging issues. At the end of the year, the T4T Board allocates a minimum $5,000 to nonprofits in the greater Quad City area.

T4T is open to 9-12 grade students attending high school in Rock Island, ILL and Scott County, Iowa.

Student applications must be submitted to the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend, 852 Middle Road, Ste 100, Bettendorf, IA 52722 by Friday, April 30, 2010.
