Tomorrow night, from 5:30-7:30, at the Fairmount St. Library will be the first film lab and editing workshop for the upcoming Teen Film Fest. Don’t miss your chance to use the library’s new HD Flip Cameras and the super cool editing software we have set up. Seriously. This year we’ll even have a special effects “green screen” set up so that you can do things like fly in your film, or be chased by dinosaurs…and it will look real.
This program is perfect for teens of all technological competencies. If you’re clueless on how to film or edit a video, then you’re in luck…we’ll walk you through each step. And if you’re an experienced filmmaker, we have the set up for you to exercise your skills and apply advanced techniques to your films. Either way, it’s bound to be fun.
Tomorrow night will be an introductory workshop where we’ll cover all the great tips and tricks you’ll need to get you started and well on your way. Plus, we’ll demo the aforementioned “green screen” effect; also known as the chroma key technique. Don’t miss out on this rare opportunity to make a film and see it on the IMAX screen, March 26th, for free.
