Let’s Play Ball!
It’s time for Davenport Public Library’s final “Go Healthy” program of the season, just in time to kickoff a different type of season – baseball season! Join us at the Fairmount Street Library (3000 N. Fairmount Street) on Saturday, April 18, at 2:00 p.m., to learn baseball basics from local little league coaches, and meet the Quad Cities River Bandits mascot, Rascal.
Run, jump, play, and throw during this interactive day celebrating everybody’s favorite American pastime. This event also marks the kick-off of a summertime partnership between the Davenport Public Library and the Quad Cities River Bandits called “Step Up to the Plate.” More information about this partnership and how you can receive a FREE Quad Cities River Bandits ticket can be found at www.davenportlibrary.com.
The Library’s “Go Healthy” workshops were created in cooperation with the American Heart Association as a way to help fight childhood obesity. For more information about the American Heart Association, visit www.americanheart.org.
