KFC for Christmas dinner?

KFC for Christmas dinner?

In Japan, KFC fried chicken is traditional Christmas dinner fare, with people lining up for blocks to order and pick up their chicken. This is mostly due to a 1970′s ad campaign suggesting that fried chicken is served at Christmas dinners in the United States.

As you may know, certain interpretations of the Mesoamerican Long Count Calendar indicate that the end of the world will begin on December 21, 2013. If this does not occur (and let’s hope that it doesn’t) and you’d like to know more about the cultures of Mesoamerica, the library is a great source for information on the art, religion, and daily life of the Mayans, Aztecs, Olmecs, and more. Just stop by the reference desk, call 563-326-7832, or fill out the “Contact Us” form on our website and our team of brilliant librarians can help answer your questions and locate library materials for you.

And, if there is a silver lining to this cloud, if the world does end tomorrow, at least you won’t have to pay your library fines.
