Titanic Officers
One of the reasons for the pandemonium on the ship as it sank was a breakdown in leadership. Several times prior to leaving the docks the officers employed by White Star Line were demoted, promoted, and yanked around in their rankings. Some historians credit this lack of certainty over job tasks with much of the confusion during the sinking.
