The Davenport Public Library partnering, for the fourth year, with Document Destruction and Recycling Services to present Community Shred Days for Money Smart Week 2011. This year we are going to have two events. On Saturday, April 2nd from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Fairmount Branch (3000 N. Fairmount Ave.) and on Wednesday, April 6th from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Eastern Avenue Branch (3000 Eastern Ave.), people can drop off items to be shredded. This program is offered in conjunction with Money Smart Week Quad Cities, and is a great way to kick off your spring cleaning efforts.
Bring all of your personal documents – papers, bills, and miscellanea – to one of these free events and local company Document Destruction & Recycling Services will haul it away to be shredded, with full confidentiality. Participating in this program could save you from identity theft.
Money Smart Week (MSW) Quad Cities corresponds with state-wide efforts that will take place at the same time for MSW Iowa and MSW Illinois. More than 30 local organizations have been meeting on a monthly basis to plan, network and leverage resources for a weeklong package of activities and events. For a full listing of MSW activities taking place throughout the Quad Cities, visit www.moneysmartweek.org/quadcities.
The Library would like to thank local company, Document Destruction & Recycling Services, for their donation of services. We couldn’t offer this free program without their help.
