LIBRARY WILL BE CLOSED FOR THANKSGIVING

November 23, 2010 10:06 am0 comments

All of the Davenport Public Library locations will be closed on Thursday, November 25 for Thanksgiving.  Be sure to stop by one of our locations on Black Friday between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 5:30  p.m. and checkout some of our hundreds of FREE items with your library card.  Don’t forget that you can always find awesome deals at the Friends’ Book Store at our Fairmount and Eastern Avenue Branch libraries.  And then there are the ever desirable treats from Cam’s Coffee House.  So here’s what you should do:  get up and get all of your early morning deals at 3, 4, or 5 a.m. (if you dare) and then take a break from all of the hussle and bussle of Black Friday and checkout some movies, books, or video games for yourself at the library.  While you are there, stop by the Friends’ Book Store to buy some gifts for your friends and relatives (shhh…you should grab something for yourself as well).  Before you leave, make sure to take a moment to relax and enjoy a magnificent cuppuccino and piece of pie or one of the many other delicious desserts from Cam’s Coffee House (located at the Fairmount and Eastern Avenue Branch libraries).

In the meantime, the employees of the Davenport Public Library would like to wish all of you, your friends, and your families a very safe and happy Thanksgiving weekend, and we would also like to send out a very special THANK YOU for all of your continued patronage!

THANK YOU CITIZENS OF DAVENPORT AND THANK YOU QUAD CITIES!

The library is open 24/7 at www.davenportlibrary.com (even on Thanksgiving).
