Each year, the Iowa Center for the Book chooses the “All Iowa Reads” selection which they encourage all Iowans to read and discuss. This year, the chosen book is Driftless, by Iowa author, David Rhodes. This book is unique in that it was written 33 years after its prequel, Rock Island Line. The Davenport Public Library is going offer book discussions for both works.
Join us on Tuesday, June 15, at 7:00 p.m., for a discussion of Rock Island Line, the first book to feature the main character, July Montgomery. On Tuesday, July 13, at 7:00 p.m., there will be a discussion of the All Iowa Reads selection, Driftless, the second book to feature the same character. Both discussions will be held at the Fairmount Branch Library (3000 N. Fairmount Street). Books will be provided to all registered guests. Call 563-888-3371 to register, or register online at www.davenportlibrary.com. Seating is limited.
