GAMING FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY – OLD SCHOOL STYLE!

GAMING FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY – OLD SCHOOL STYLE!

Remember when “gaming” meant spinning a wheel or rolling dice to see how far to move your game piece? Although it may be hard to believe for some youngsters, there are actually games that do not require electricity. If these are the types of games you enjoy, come to Davenport Public Library’s “Family Game Day & Pizza Party,” sponsored by Upper Crust Pizza.

Join us at the Fairmount Branch Library (3000 N. Fairmount Street) on Saturday, June 12, at 11 a.m. for some good old fashioned games like Monopoly, Clue, Checkers, Apples to Apples, and Candyland. This event is for all ages and will run until 3 p.m. Stay and play for the whole day, or just join us for a few hands of Old Maid. Enjoy free pizza and lemonade while you play. Come alone, or bring the entire family! Quit staring at the television and do something that’s challenging and fun.

If you don’t have a chance to make this one, we’ll be offering another Family Game Day & Pizza Party on Saturday, July 17, at 11 a.m., at the Fairmount Branch. For more information, visit www.davenportlibrary.com.
