Join the Fairmount Branch Library on Wednesday, August 19 at 6:00 p.m. for our monthly Off-Beat Independent Film series. This month Daniel Day-Lewis stars in “My Left Foot: The Story of Christy Brown.” Christy Brown, is an Irish man born with cerebral palsy who learns to paint and write with his only controllable limb – his left foot. Day-Lewis won an Oscar for this role for his inspiring and passionate portrayal of Brown. This is a film about life, laughter, and the occasional miracle, which all movie-goers will appreciate.
