wrp09I know, all you want to do right now is forget about all of the cold weather of winter and bask in the warmth of the sun.  Not quite yet!  Before you do any basking, make sure to participate in the Davenport Public Library’s Winter Reading Program (WRP).  This year’s WRP, “Books Are Cool” is easy to do and will give you a chance to win some wonderful prizes.

Between February 7 and March 14, patrons will receive an entry slip for every item they check out, including books, magazines, DVDs, and CDs. Fill out each entry slip and return it to the drawing box at the designated area within the Library.
Numerous grand prize winners will be chosen from the Main Street and Fairmount Street Libraries in each of the following age categories: children (ages 3-11); teen (ages 12-17); and adult (ages 18 and up). The more items you check out, the more chances you have to win!
The Winter Reading Program is good family entertainment with a reward. This year’s grand prizes include gift baskets, stuffed animals, books, and gift certificates appealing to all age groups. Additionally, anyone interested in the program will receive a free book bag while supplies last.  For more information, call 563-888-3371.
