The Davenport Public Library is pleased to announce a brand new coffee shop opening at its Fairmount Street location. “Cams Coffee Shop” is the new coffee vendor at the library, bringing patrons and residents on the west side of Davenport the highly desirable Seattle’s Best Coffee. Also featured at the shop will be fresh-made cinnamon rolls and cookies, Italian sodas, and other delicious drinks. The shop will open daily, Monday through Saturday, at 7 a.m., for the morning commute. It will keep the same closing hours as the library. For a list of library hours, visit www.davenportlibrary.com.
Scott and Kathy Cameron, the owners of Cams, are very familiar with what it takes to run a successful shop. They currently operate the Starbuck’s franchise located at the St. Ambrose University Book Store.
LaWanda Roudebush, library director, is thrilled with the chosen lessee. “Having a strong brand name like Seattle’s Best Coffee, early commuter hours, and excellent pastries will really be a draw to our already booming library.”
The Camerons were chosen as the new vendors by the Library Board of Directors at their December board meeting.
Cams Coffee Shop will open during the first week of January, with a special grand opening in the works for later in the month. For more information, please contact LaWanda Roudebush at 563-326-7832.
