Are you involved with a Secret Santa-type program at your work or organization? Do you need to buy an inexpensive (but quality!) gift for someone on your shopping list? The FRIENDS of the Davenport Public Library Book Store offers gift certificates for purchase. Just stop by the store, located at our Fairmount Street Library and ask to purchase a gift certificate – it’s that simple!  Certificates come in $5 increments.

If you want to buy a more personalized gift, check out the Book Store’s selection of hardback and paperback books. You may even find some neat stocking stuffers, like puzzles and games, for the hard-to-shop-for relative. The best news is – it won’t break your budget. Most items at the Book Store are under $2!

Know any crafty people? The Book Store also sells used magazines at a hugely discounted rate. Many decoupage crafts use magazine pictures, or you can even make a stunning piece of artwork with a magazine collage as a holiday gift.  The opportunities are endless!

The best news about spending money at the Book Store is – all of the proceeds from Book Store sales directly benefit the Davenport Public Library. Money collected goes to enhance library programming, the Eastern Avenue building fund, and towards collection development. It’s a win-win shopping experience for everyone!

The FRIENDS of the Davenport Public Library Book Store Hours are:
Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday:  10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Tuesday and Wednesday:  2 p.m. – 6 p.m.

The selection is always changing – stop by often.
