Off-Beat Independent Film - Strictly Ballroom 4/16

Tired of the same old movies?  Then come to Davenport Library’s “Off-Beat Independent Films!”  Hand-picked award-winning foreign and domestic independent movies will be shown every third Wednesday of the month at the Fairmount Street Library at 6pm.  Movie-goers will also get a chance to talk about the film after the showing. April’s off-beat independent film is the Australian classic, Strictly Ballroom.  Strictly Ballroom is a magical story of a championship ballroom-dancer who is paired with an ugly duckling novice dancing partner. Together they are breaking all the rules and making their dreams come true!  If you are a fan of “Dancing with the Stars,” you have to see this movie!
