College & Financial Planning – Choices Planner

The Davenport Public Library has teamed up with Iowa Student Loan’s College Access Network to present a magnificent series for teens preparing for college and their parents.  Please join us at the Davenport Public Library, Fairmount Street (3000 N. Fairmount Street) on the fourth Saturday of each month, from January through May as we explore the many questions of a college education.  Each session will be presented in English from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. and then again in Spanish from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.  We will explore college planning, financial aid, the Choices Planner, how to succeed, and credit card management. The third in the series, Choices Planner, will be held on Saturday, March 22 at 1:00 at the Fairmount Street Library (3000 N. Fairmount Street).  The presentation will cover the Choices Planner, a free online program that helps implement college career plans.  The Iowa Choices allows for you to take assessments to match interests with careers; perform database searches for careers, colleges, and majors; create resumes; practice job interviews and much more. Registration is not required for this free event!
