Little Bitty Book Reviews: Squish made a new friend!!

Squish Rabbit by Katherine Battersby

Squish is a little, tiny rabbit.   Hence the name.  Ah, but he is a lonely little rabbit.  So he made a friend.  Seriously, he MADE a friend.  But pretend friends can only do so much so it really isn’t the perfect solution.  Finally, suprisingly, happily, while throwing a tantrum about the whole deal, Squish finds a real friend to play with.  Whew!!   Real friends are so much better.   Simple illustrations and text make this a great read for the 2-5 yr old crowd.

Baby Lit Bits

Come on over and sit a spell…

Ok – this may seem a little self serving.   But have you ever noticed how many books and magazine and cd’s and movies are at the library?   An entire building dedicated to literacy and language in one form or another?  Want another way to show your child just how cool reading is?  Why not head for your nearest library.  If it’s not important to you, how do you expect it to be important to him?
