Our brains are amazing. Did you realize that it takes at least 4 parts of the brain to take in information, decode it, form a response, and then respond? For adults the entire process takes about 2 seconds. For children just learning to talk? Expect anywhere from 5-12 seconds. Wait for it .. it’ll be worth it to give them the practice they need to shorten up their response time.
