If you like your trips on the dangerous side, take a hike down to Grand Bay Savanna in Mississippi and Alabama. Grand Bay Savanna is home to several carnivorous (meat -eating) plants, most well-known of which is the pitcher plant. Looking like a beautiful pitcher holding crystal clear water, the pitcher plant is actually a trap lying in wait. The “water” is actually a mix of chemicals that traps critters and digests them for the plant to eat. Yick. Bring your own drinking water instead!
