It’s supposed to look that way. Chocolate Bog in Snow Hill, Maryland has looked that murky and brown since Europeans first discovered it. Chocolate Bog gets its color from the tree leaves that fall into it. Even though it looks so brown, it is actually one of the cleanest water sources around.
