Mississippi Monday

One of the heroes of the Mississippi River is Jane Muckle Robinson.  For 36 years Robinson kept glass lanterns lit on four channels of the Mississippi River so those in boats wouldn’t hit the banks and sink.  To keep those lanterns lit from sundown to sunup EVERY DAY for 36 years, Robinson rowed an estimated 50,000 miles – by herself.  Now that’s incredible!

Join us on Mississippi Mondays to learn about the remarkable river that is part of our community.
