Saturdays are an excellent time to run errands, do chores, and generally get the business of living taken care of. If you are planning to tick some items off your “TO DO” list tomorrow, stop by the East Kimberly Hy-Vee to get your grocery shopping done. And while you’re there, make sure to say “Hey!” to the friendly Davenport Public Library crew.
We will be there from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm to give out all kinds of information about the library. You can pick up flyers detailing the 2010 Summer Reading Program, information about the Grand Opening Celebration for the Eastern Avenue Branch library, and the latest edition of the library newsletter Main Entries. You can even sign up for a library card, or get your kids signed up for cards while you’re there!
Libby the Library Dog will be making regular appearances throughout the day — so keep your eyes out for a giant friendly dog strolling through the aisles (along with the regular Hy-Vee helpful smiles!) Edward and Jacob will be on hand, so bring your camera and get a picture with your favorite Twilight heart throb. And Gary Metivier will be there at 1:00 pm to sign copies of his children’s books.
Stop by the Hy-Vee tomorrow anytime between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm for some library fun!
