Tree Planting

We had a very nice crowd for our tree planting on the Eastern Avenue Branch Library site today. If you were there, we thank you

we are receiving with this project. From the Mayor and Alderman, the five hundred

plus financial contributors, the FRIENDS, the Board of Trustees, the staff and all of

you who have given your heartfelt comments, we thank you. We are as anxious as

you to get this library open for business. But we are also enjoying the moments of

watching the earth being moved, ordering the materials and selecting the components

that will make this another successful Davenport Library branch.
